Profilo professionale: Barbara Petrongolo è stata Assistant Professor of Economics presso l'Università Carlos III di Madrid e presso la London School of Economics.
Dal 2010 è Professor of Economics presso la Queen Mary University (London) e Research Associate al Centre for Economic Performance (LSE).
È inoltre Research Fellow del Centre for Economic Policy Research e fa parte del Council della European Economic Association.
Si occupa prevalentemente di economia del lavoro e in particolare di ineguaglianze di genere, mobilità e ricerca del posto di lavoro, politiche pubbliche e mercati del lavoro locali.
