Professional Profile: Professor Inozemtsev is an outstanding Russian economist, leading supporter of the new industrialization of Russia.
He is the director and founder of the Center for Post-Industrial Studies in Moscow, a nonprofit institution that specializes in organizing conferences on global economic issues and in publishing books (predominantly translations into Russian of the works by well-known Western scholars).
He is Professor and Chair at Department of World Economy, Faculty of Public Governance, Moscow State Lomonossov University and currently resides also in Vienna as Senior Visiting Fellow at the Institut fuer die Wissenschaften von Menschen (IWM). He also taught at various Universities, including MGIMO (the University of International Relations) and the Higher School of Economics in Moscow.
In 2002-2009 he was Head of the Scienific Advisory Board of the Russia in Global Affairs journal and in 2011 Managing Director of the Global Political Forum, organized in Yaroslavl' under authority of then-President Dmitry Medvedev.
Professor Inozemtsev is author of over 600 printed works published in Russia, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States, including 15 monographs, four of which were translated into English.
Professor Inozemtsev never affiliated with Russian or foreign governments and never served as an elected official at any level. Between December, 2011 and March, 2012 he was a senior advisor to Mikhail Prokhorov, at that time Russia’s presidential candidate (who ended up third in the elections in 2012) and authored his presidential programme. Since November 2012, he is Chairman of the High Council of The Civilian Force, a newly established Russian center-liberal pro-European party.
 

 

Academic Profile:
  • Prof. Inozemtsev entered the Moscow State Lomonossov University, Department of Economics in 1984, he graduated with distinction in 1989.
  • He obtained the Ph.D in Economics at the Moscow State Lomonossov University, Department of Economics in 1994.
  • He received his Sc.D. (that equals to a Professor degree in Russia) in Economics from the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 1999.
