Her research interests involve firm productivity and adoption of managerial practices, technology transfer and innovation, and intellectual property rights protection. PROFESSIONAL PROFILE:
Michela Giorcelli is an applied microeconomist, mainly interested in the determinants on productivity and innovation. Giorcelli is an Assistant Professor of Economics at University of California-Los Angeles. She is also a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau for Economic Research.
Michela Giorcelli’s research focuses on firm productivity and adoption of managerial practices, technology transfer and innovation, and intellectual property rights protection
Giorcelli has a Ph.D. from Stanford University (2016). Before joining Stanford, Prof. Giorcelli earned a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University (with distinction), a MSc from Collegio Carlo Alberto in Torino (with distinction) and a BA in Economics (summa cum laude and dignity of print) from the University of Torino.
