Filippo Barbero is a former pilot officer and instructor in the Italian Air Force for seventeen years. He operated on a supersonic “Tornado” aircraft until 2009, participating in various operational missions outside the national borders.
Subsequently, he was selected as a pilot for Frecce Tricolori National Aerobatic Team, holding various positions and completing the period as “Solo”, a role he held for four consecutive seasons.
In the last five years spent in the Air Force he was Flight Safety manager of Frecce Tricolori Team.
He has been involved in training since 2010, both as a trainer of the new pilots assigned to Frecce Tricolori, and as responsible for the growth of new professional figures within the Team.
Retired in 2019, he is currently an airline pilot.
Filippo Fontemaggi, from Romagna who grew up in Bologna, entered the Air Force Academy in 2002.
Since 2004, at the end of flight school, he has been assigned to the search and rescue departments, holding various positions including flight safety officer. He gained operational experience in national and international rescue until he became Instructor of operational tactics at the 83rd Combat Search and Rescue Group in Cervia (RA).
Retired in 2017 after carrying out humanitarian missions for the United Nations, he served as a helicopter rescue pilot in the national emergency emergency service 118/112.
He is currently a Search and Rescue Pilot in Saudi Arabia at an important local company.
Graduated in Organizational and Management Sciences, qualified Human Factors Facilitator and Safety Officer at the Higher Institute of Flight Safety.
