Enrico Cattaneo

Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at European business schools, Advisor on Strategy and Innovation for Business Growth
Enrico Cattaneo is Editor-in-Chief of MIT Technology Review Italia magazine, Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at ESCP Europe in Paris and at the Graduate School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano. He is also an advisor to CEOs and C-level executives of multinational companies on innovation and growth. He has close ties to the world of start-ups, having founded 42 Accelerator in 2015, one of the first digital start-up accelerators in Italy. For the past five years, he has been an advisor and member of the Techstars selection committee for the Cities of the Future acceleration programme.
An aerospace engineer with a PhD in Economics & Management and an MBA from ESCP Europe in Paris, he has more than 25 years of experience in numerous industrial fields, working with large companies, Italian and international start-ups, and investment funds.
As an entrepreneur, he has set up several companies and made two major exits, thus experiencing the entire cycle of creation, growth, and sale of a company.
Working with MIT Technology Review, large industrial groups and high-potential start-ups, he is always up to date on new technological and market trends and emerging technologies, as well as on the processes for introducing these innovations into organisations.
He is an international speaker (fluent in English and French) and regularly participates in conferences and workshops on innovation, entrepreneurship and emerging technologies.
In 2025, he brought MIT Boston’s flagship event, EmTech, to Italy as MIT Technology Review. With more than 80 speakers and 1,300 attendees, it was one of the most significant innovation events of the year.
