University Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Milan, best-selling author
Medical Doctor, psychotherapist, and preventive medicine specialist, he holds a PhD in Public Health. He works as a researcher at the Faculty of Medicine at Milano State University. He was a postdoctoral fellow of the National Committee for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (Chicago, USA). He is a member of the Board of Directors of Fondazione Oltre, Angelini Pharma’s Social Foundation.
In 2004, the Ministry of Health awarded him the Silver Medal for Merit in Public Health.
He has published numerous books for professionals, educators, teachers and parents, many of which have become major national bestsellers (La bussola delle emozioni, Da uomo a padre, La vita accade, Ragazzo mio, L’età dello tsunami, Io gomitolo tu filo) and have been translated into more than fifteen languages.
He regularly contributes as a science writer to numerous national media. Since 2010, he has been editor of the “Being Parents” column, which features him in weekly conversation with readers of Famiglia Cristiana.
He is a regular consultant on the Rai 3 program Geo and a regular guest on health programs on Radio 24, where he has curated and hosted psychology programs for over a decade. He is read by over 300,000 people daily on social media.
Every year he holds around a hundred public lectures on the topics he has addressed in his intense clinical, research and editorial activity, speaking to tens of thousands of people.
