Michael J. Spendolini is the founder and President of MJS Associates, a management consulting firm located in Newport Beach, California.
His clients include Pepsico, Motorola, ScrippsHealth, AlliedSignal, Bank of America, ABB, Novartis, Dolby Laboratories, Phelps Dodge, Disney Epcot, PeopleSoft, and Nokia. Prior to forming MJS Associates, Michael held a number of managerial positions with Xerox Corporation.
Dr. Spendolini has authored over 50 articles on the subject of benchmarking, and has written one of the best selling books on the subject, The Benchmarking Book (First and Second Editions, AMACOM). Michael J. Spendolini has also authored over 20 articles on the subject of “best practices” customer measurement and management systems, and is completing books on the topics of improving customer measurement and on-line measurement systems.
He has established a network of organizational associates to research and promote “best practices” applications in the areas of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Knowledge Management (KM), and he has written and presented these topics both in the U.S. and in Europe.
M. J. Spendolini has developed and delivered seminars on benchmarking and customer measurement systems for a variety of American and international organizations. He has presented seminars, consulted, and spoken at conferences in over 30 countries. He presents the subjects for the American Management Association International, the Motorola Management Institute, and as a seminar leader at the Caltech Industrial Relations Center in Pasadena. He is a member of ASQ, The American Psychological Association, The Association for Quality and Participation, and the OD Network.
